Five Water Colour Gestures

www.markthurman.ca

This is a pen and ink drawing with watercolour washes added on top. These are two minute gestures and with the speed of getting five drawings down you have to live with accidents and running paint.
The watercolour paint is pre mixed in a 5 color palette - this makes getting the colour down easier.
The drawing is 14"x 11" and unframed..

Mark has explored pen and ink and water colour for many years.  He does the drawing first by using a dark brown ink.  The water color is applied next with a direct, loose technique, letting washes blend together.
The painting is unframed.  The dimensions are 4" x 6"
